Under the new law, it is possible to register a design for a set of articles. Thus, a design for a kitchen system, or an audio system, or a computer system may be registered by filing an application on or after July 1, 2001.
Up to now, since the requirements under the Design Act for registration of a set of articles were so restrictive that the provision has had little significance for design protection. (Art. 12(1), (3))
