YOU ME Trademark team participate in Trademark Exhibition 2006 The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) sponsored a Trademark-Design Exhibition held at Coex Convention Hall from August 30 - September 1, 2006. Thirteen members of the YOU ME¡¯s Trademark department manned a booth in the Intellectual Property Communication Zone of the exhibition, where the public was invited to seek advice and information regarding trademark/design rights in Korea. Much of the advice provided over the course of this event concerned procedures involved with conducting trademark searches as well as the registrability of certain marks in Korea. However, the most popular issues raised focused on the enforcement of trademark rights against infringement, especially in countries such as China. Not only was the public able to gain insightful advice from our attorneys, but a few lucky visitors won the opportunity to file their trademarks in China with YOU ME at a discount of 30%. Meanwhile, others were able to receive free consultation and IP services for trademark and design filings in Korea.
