The Chief Administrative Judge, Joo-Hyun Song, joins YOU ME Joo-Hyun Song, who was the Chief Administrative Judge of the Board of Patent and Trademark Appeal at the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), resigned his post and joined YOU ME as of this November. Joo-Hyun occupied different positions and posts during his 28 year tenure at the KIPO and other government offices. Among his previously held positions are: Examiner of trademarks, manager of Industrial Protection Department, director of Design Team 3, Administrative Judge of Patent and Trademark Appeal Board, Chief Examiner of trademarks and designs, director of Invention Policy Department, and Chief Administrative Judge from 2004. In his spare time, he dedicated his efforts to the protection of IP by becoming an adjunct professor and lecturer at the Institute of International patent study of the KIPO and Chung-Nam law school LLM program. As for his education, Joo-Hyun completed an LL.B. degree from Hannam University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Chung-ang University. It is hoped that clients of YOU ME will greatly benefit from the addition of Joo-Hyun's expertise.
